Ceylon Soul curates intimate, hosted experiences rooted in real lives and long relationships. Our work begins in Galle Fort and extends across Sri Lanka through people who have lived, practiced, and preserved their craft for generations. We don’t design tours. We create space for culture to be shared with care.

Ceylon Soul exists to support the preservation of Sri Lanka’s living heritage the ways people walk, cook, gather, create, and belong. We work closely with individuals and families whose knowledge is carried through habit, memory, and daily practice. Our role is not to package culture, but to protect its dignity while making room for meaningful exchange.

Experience Approach

Thoughtful encounters, not itineraries

Every experience unfolds slowly and naturally. Nothing is rushed. Nothing is performed. Whether walking with a generational resident, cooking inside a lived home, or sitting quietly with an artisan at work, each experience is guided by conversation, observation, and trust shaped by real life, not scripts.

Behind Ceylon Soul

Ceylon Soul is founded and guided by Atheeq Ifthikar, whose work is shaped by a lifelong connection to Sri Lanka’s people, food, crafts, and everyday rhythms.

Years of walking, listening, and hosting have informed an approach that values presence over performance. The host’s role here is to hold space allowing stories and connections to emerge naturally.

What people say about us

Ceylon Soul feels less like a company and more like a way of being introduced to a place. Everything was thoughtful, unhurried, and deeply considered, allowing us to connect without feeling guided or managed.

Sofia M.

Australia

What stayed with me was the pace. There was room to observe, to listen, and to simply be present. It didn’t feel curated in a performative way, but intentional in a way that felt rare.

Lucas T.

France

Ceylon Soul carries a quiet confidence. The experiences are subtle yet memorable, creating moments that linger long after they’re over. It felt personal, grounded, and genuinely human.
